  • Transportation by trucks to the port.
  • Stocking raw timber in the port.
  • Loading timber into vessel.
  • Unloading vessel in the port of arrival.
  • Delivery to the client’s door.

Basically with vessel transports timber in huge volumes for construction and processing (MFC, OSB, MDF production) purposes. Mainly it’s spruce, pine, birch and aspen. Transportation by vessel has pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Large volume of delivery.
  • The cheapest type of transportation in terms of m3.
  • Worldwide delivery.

Cons:

  • Very long time of supply and delivery of the shipment.
  • Does not fit for delivery of the small party.
